NEW YORK: As LG unveiled its flagship smartphone LG G4, let’s have a quick comparison with Samsung Galaxy S6.
LG unveiled the device in its press event today while Galaxy already hit the market as it was unveiled in March.
LG G4 features a 5.5 inch HD-IPS + LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (~538 ppi pixel density) on the other hand Samsung Galaxy S6 has 5.1 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (~577 ppi pixel density).
The new LG G4 has a hexa core Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz while Galaxy S6 has and Octa core (Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57) Exynos 7420 chipset.
The LG G4 has 3GB of RAM and 32 GB built-in memory expendable up to 128 GB via microSD card slot while the Galaxy S6 comes in 32/64/128 GB internal memory variants with 3GB RAM.
Both devices have 16 megapixel cameras while LG G4 features an 8 megapixel front sensor and Samsung Galaxy S6 has 5 megapixel selfi cam.
The Galaxy S6 has a non-removable Li-Ion 2550 mAh battery while G4 has a removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery.
LG G4 is available in Grey, White, Gold, Leather Black, Leather Brown and Leather RedGrey while Galaxy S6 is available in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Blue Topaz.
