LAHORE: As Misbah-ul-Haq retired form One Day International (ODI) cricket, the new talks began in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about the future leader of the Green-Shirts.
According to PCB sources, following the fiery spell of fast bowling and over all round performance in World Cup 2015 Wahab Riaz has attracted the world and also became the strong contender to lead the side in ODIs.
On the other hand, former skipper Shoaib Malik who was dropped from the World Cup despite giving great performance with the bat in Australia as well as in domestic tournament is once against in line to take the responsibility as the skipper of the side.
However PCB has already said that after Misbah’s retirement Pakistan team will be led by a young skipper for that they have considered a few names.
Interestingly, Azhar Ali’s name was also in the list as well as Asad Shafiq was also in the line as he is currently leading Pakistan A.
Sohaib Maqsood was also considered in that list but due to his recent performance with that bat it looks like he would not be considered any more.
