LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the National Action Plan (NAP) is a unanimous strategy to get rid of terrorism in the country.
He was chairing a high level meeting in Lahore on Sunday, in which the measures taken to implement the National Action Plan against terrorism, overall law and order situation and security arrangements were reviewed in detail.
He said that the positive results of National Action Plan are coming forth now. He said that present extra ordinary situation demands extra ordinary measures.
The Chief Minister directed to continue the effective monitoring of security measures at all educational institutions by the Provincial Ministers and Provincial Secretaries.
He approved the Advance Alarm System for the educational institutions and declared it mandatory for all of them.
Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that immediate decisions have been taken for implementation of the National Action Plan. He directed all concerned departments to perform their duties with best coordination. and evolve a comprehensive planning for reactivating Civil Defence.
During the meeting, a detailed briefing was also given to the participants about the implementation of National Action Plan and security arrangements.
Meanwhile, talking to a group of elected public representatives in Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that all segments of society will have to be united the war of country’s survival as role of every one of them is of great importance.
He said that there are many aspects of terrorism, extremism and sectarianism and all these aspect should be eliminated. He said that through force of joint efforts and unity, all these menaces will be eliminated.
The Chief Minister said that due to the innocent martyrs of Peshawar, it is a historical opportunity for us to address this menace once for all, through unity and oneness.
