21st amendment in Constitution: Bill presented in NA

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervez Rasheed on Saturday has presented 21st amendment in Constitution bill in National Assembly, local media reported.

According to reports, the bill was presented in NA session which began with an hour delay and was headed by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

However, National Assembly will pick up these bills for debate on Monday in the house adjourned.

Pervez Rasheed also presented another bill in NA session on Saturday seeking amendment  in Army Act 1952.

Earlier, Prime Minister had called All Parties Conference (APC) in which top leadership of all parties including their presidents and chairman attended in order to present their suggestion before amendment in constitution.

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif-led conference with the leaders of all parliamentary parties of the country agreed establishment of special courts and constitutional reformations.

Sources said that amendments will be included in constitution and army act for establishment of special courts for next two years.

The to-be-formed special courts would only try the persons accused in terrorism cases but it would not be allowed to conduct hearing of the accused in political cases.

Constitutional shelter will be given to the courts while an Amendment Bill would be introduced in the National Assembly for its approval.
