Ghazi Abdul Rashid murder case: Musharraf’s plea of exemption from attendance rejected

ISLAMABAD: Local court of Islamabad has rejected the application of former president Pervez Musharraf seeking exemption from attendance in Ghazi Abdul Rashid murder case, TheNewsTribe.com reported on Saturday.

The court ordered General (retd) Pervez Musharraf to appear before it on December 6, 2014.

Musharraf’s lawyer said that he had requested Inspector General (IG) Islamabad to provide security to his client but he hadn’t responded yet.

The court also ordered IG Islamabad to answer the request of Musharraf’s lawyer.

Islamabad police registered a case against Pervez Musharraf over alleged murder of Ghazi Abdul Rasheed and his mother during the Lal Masjid military operation. The FIR was registered under Section 302 and 109.
