Azam Sawati, DJ Butt released from police custody

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Azam Sawati and DJ Butt were released by police on Sunday (today), media reported.

The PTI leader Azam Sawati was taken into custody yesterday when he was protesting against the arrest of PTI activists from Islamabad. Deputy magistrate Islamabad accepting the bail plea of the PTI leader ordered his release taking into consideration Islamabad High Court’s decision to release PTI and PAT activist booked under article 144.

Earlier, the PTI had submitted bail plea in the court of deputy magistrate for the release of its leader.

PTI’s sound system expert DJ Butt was released from Adiala jail today on IHC orders. He had been arrested two days ago from Islamabad for being part of the protest against the government.
