RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday met Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.
COAS General Raheel Sharif and CM Shahbaz Sharif discussed the ongoing political situation of the country.
During the meeting, General Raheel Sharif urged federal government for rapid resolution of the political crisis via purposeful negotiations, military sources said.
The meeting was carried out in General Headquarter (GHQ) Rawalpindi today amid severe political crisis as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) are staging sit-ins against federal government in the federal capital Islamabad since yesterday.
