ISLAMABAD: Four more polio cases were detected in the country, taking the total number of cases to 74 this year.
The new cases were reported from Waziristan areas. A 3-year-old Madina and Haleema, affected with polio, belonged to Bannu. Besides polio virus was also detected in 22-month-old Laiba and 23-month-old Ilyas, who are the residents of North Waziristan.
 Anti-polio campaigns are halted in these areas where militants defy such drives as anti-Islamic.
Besides, Sindh government, on recommendation of International Monitoring Board, provincial emergency operation centre.
Sindh government took the decision in a meeting, presided over by Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah. The CM ordered expediting the anti-polio drive across the province.
