MIRPUR: Showing his class, all-rounder Shahid Afridi hit two consecutive sixes in the final over to beat India by one wicket in the Asia Cup match here at Mirpur on Sunday.
Afridi hit two sixes in the final over the game to reach 246 runs target against the arch-rival India.
Pakistan lose quick wickets after openers Ahmed Shahzad and Sharjeel Khan provided their team a 75-run strong first-wicket stand. Afridi scored 34 runs while Mohammad Hafeez made 75 runs key knock.
Sohaib Maqsood made 38 runs.
India is out of the tournament now.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and put the neighbours into bat first. India made 245-8 in 50 overs.
Pakistani bowlers took the wind out of India’s ship as debutant Talha and Muhammad Hafeez took 2 wickets each and pacer Umar Gul ousted Indian captain Virat Kohli to bring India on back foot in this important match while Saeed Ajmal took 3 wickets in the last 10 overs of the match.
Indian batsman Rayudu took charge of the match and scored a brisk 50 to keep the score board ticking.
His batting partner Jadeja also scored a half century and saw it through the end.
Pakistan started well but wickets fell at regular intervals and the match went till the last ball where Shahid Khan Afridi hit two sixes to enthrall the audience and the world after Javed Miandad did it in Sharjah many years ago.
Muhammad Hafeez was declared Man of the Match for scoring 75 runs and getting two wickets.
Shahid Afridi said that he is glad that he performed at the right time.
