KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has assured Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) to address all their reservation regarding ongoing targeted operation in the metropolis, it was stated by MQM Deputy Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddique after meeting Minister in Governor house.
MQM delegation headed by Khalid Maqbool Siddique have met with Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, in Governor House Karachi, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ibad was also present at the meeting.
After meeting he briefed the media about the meeting. He said that MQM informed the Chaudhry Nisar about extra judicial killings of their activists, missing of more than 40 activists and worst torture on them during police custody. He said MQM didn’t give any suggestion regarding targeted operation procedure to Federal Interior Minister.
He said they only demanded that out of constitution no measure must be taken and ensures all the prerequisite of justice. How they overcome the situation, now it was his responsibility, he said.
He said that Chaudhry Nisar not only admitted our reservations but also assured that actions would be taken to stoppage these sought of incidents and justice will be ensured to everyone.
Khalid Maqbool Siddique remembered that target operation in Karachi started on MQM’s demand and they used to say at the start of the operation that every criminal should be arrested and prosecuted regardless of any caste and political affiliations and the party neither protested against such action in past nor at the moment.
But out of constitution and law, plane dressed personnels were not only lifting MQM activists in without number plates cars but they were also receiving worst torture in police custody and even they are being murdered extra-judicially, he said
He clarified the media for showing concerns over the issue and protested which was their constitutional and democratic right.
