LAHORE: After being a numerous names including Waqar Younis and Inzimamul Haq to coach, another contender has emerged for coaching seat of Pakistan cricket team.
This time, its none other than, Moin Khan, the present manager of the team.
The present coach David Whatmore, who has been with the team for quite a while now, is leaving the post in Feb 2014.
Pakistan Cricket Board is in search of an appropriate coach to develop the team for mega event of World Cup 2015.
Most probably, this time, the coach will be from former players of the country, after a number of reservations have been recorded from many circles.
Former Fast Bowler Waqar Younis is on the top of the list, with his good experience as coach with the team a some time back. Other prominent name is Inzimam ul Haq, who could have been chosen for his batting specialty, a thing Pakistan needs the most right now.
But apart from these strong choices in long term, PCB is thinking to appoint Moin Khan as the coach temporarily till T20 World Cup and Asia Cup coming next year. The decision is expected soon before the Feb next year, when David will leave the post for the future coach of the Green Shirts.
