ISLAMABAD: A group of seven Egyptian teachers from Al-Azhar University (Egypt), who have been recently inducted at Faculty of Arabic of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), arrived at university on Monday and called on President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh.
President IIUI welcomed the Egyptian faculty members and apprised them about the vision and objectives of the university.
He hoped that induction of highly qualified faculty would further raise the teaching standards of Faculty of Arabic.
He stressed on the need for enhancing culture of research and teaching among Muslims while terming it a vital solution of Umma’s challenges.
Dean Faculty of Arabic Dr. Bashir Ahmed was also present in the meeting. Later, Egyptian teachers also called on Director General (AF&P) Gulzar Ahmed Khwaja.
Moreover, Gulzar Ahmed Khwaja has assumed his responsibilities as Director General (Administration, Finance & Planning) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) while he will also act as Secretary, Board of Governors. Gulzar Ahmed Khwaja had worked as DG AF&P few years back while he had also served as Director (Academics) at IIUI.
Rector IIUI, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai and President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh have welcomed the appointment of Gulzar Ahmed Khwaja and termed it as a positive step for university progress. Faculty members, officers, staff members and students have also welcomed the appointment of Gulzar Ahmed Khwaja as DG (AF&P) of the university.
