LAHORE: BBC Urdu reports the impact of the co-education system on the young female students and how promises are a tool of manipulation for the political leaders. One such guarantee was given by the Shahabaz Sharif, who said that he would achieve 100% education ratio.
On 14th August celebration, Chief Minister Punjab aimed to enhance the ratio of education all over the province. Even though this project may not be easy to criticise by the opposition parties but it is still unknown how this massive objective can be achieved.
The so called policies of education proved to be futile for most of the rural areas of Punjab, which would only mean backfire of the policies in terms of female education. The recent policies of rationalisation some schools were merged into one.
Some girl schools were also amalgamated with those of boys. As a result, the village people resorted to pull out their girls from the school and perhaps from education.
Rana Mashood, educational minister for Punjab said that rationalisation policy is for utilisation of the resources in a better way.
One primary schools costs too much for government and one headmaster’s salary amounts to 70-80 thousands. For better utilisation of the available budget, the provincial government has no other alternative then to merge primary schools.
