QUETTA: Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has ordered on Tuesday the authorities including Frontier Corps (FC) and security agencies for recovering of missing persons in Balochistan.
The Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the case of missing persons in Quetta registry of Supreme Court in Balochistan.
The court directed the authorities for recovery of all missing persons without any delay and ordered to present them in two weeks in next hearing.
Following orders of the apex court, Additional Attorney General presented report over terrorism before the Chief Justice.
CJ expressed outrage over lack of seriousness of the authorities’ in the case by saying that the court have to explain point from the beginning where it was left 3 month ago. He said that the court was expecting better result after the appearance of Inspector General FC Major General Ijaz Shahid.
Chaudhry said that there are 506 persons under custody of governmental department as per given reports. He added that legal proceedings should be taken if there are culprits in the detained persons.
The apex court said that illegal detention is considered as violation of basic human rights.
