Jalandar: Indian Spy Sarbajit Singh’s daughter, Swapandeep Kaur, has been appointed as a local Naib Tehsildar.
According to Times of India, Chief Minister of Panjab, Parkash Singh Badal has appointed Kaur in revenue department of Panjab, India.
Sarabjit, 49, was killed in a stroke after he was assaulted in Pakistani prison and this move was to fulfil the promise made to the family.
In a local event at Jalandhar, Swapandeep was presented her letter of appointment on behalf of recognition of services by Sarbajit for the nation.
According to Chief Minister, “With this we have fulfilled our national as well as moral duty”.
He also expressed best wishes to her and hoped that she would work with utmost dedication and sincerity.
Extending his best wishes to Swapandeep Kaur, the Chief Minister hoped that she would perform her duty with utmost sincerity and dedication.
He further said that he would continue to give support to the family. Swapandeep will officially join from Monday.
