Washington: Just after the release of Windows phone Nokia Lumai 625, American giant Motorola gear up to launch co-created Moto X in August.
The Moto X is the first device Motorola and Google have worked on together since Google acquired Motorola in 2012.
New images of what are believed to be final press shots of the smartphone have leaked, with views of the front, back, and sides of the smartphone.
The smartphone has been making rounds in the last couple of weeks with leaked images, a video demonstrating its ability to be “contextually aware”, as well as rumors of an affordable off-contract price tag. What seem to be the final press images of the Moto X have now appeared.
The images were posted by the very reliable @evleaks. The photos show the Moto X up close and we also get to see the smartphone’s customizable back case and the sides of the smartphone. The new images shows a white and black Moto X, both with a textured back case. This appears to show how the smartphone will be customizable through the use of different color, texture, and designed back cases. We’ve seen images previously showing a smooth back case.
The new images also show a side shot of the Moto X, showing its power button and volume rocker located on the right side, while also giving an idea of how thin the smartphone will be.
The Moto X is expected to feature a 4.7-inch 720p display, including 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, a 10.5-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megpixel front facing camera.
The device will be running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, be powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, include Dual 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microSD expansion slot with support for up to 64GB microSD cards, and a removable 2,200 mAh battery. The Moto X is expected to be available on all four major carriers in the U.S. when it launches.
While numerous leaks and rumors painted quite a clear picture of what to expect, nothing is for certain until Motorola makes its official announcement. With Aug. 1 just around the corner, all specs and details will soon be unveiled.
