KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Syed Munawar Hasan has said that the western powers have adopted the dual standard, adding that the Muslims came into power through democracy, but the external powers push them towards wall.
“If the ways of democracy could be stopped, then ultimately Taliban will come into power”, he added.
During his address in an Iftar party in Zaman Town, Korangi area of Karachi, JI chief said that international powers must avoid to implement dual standards in Muslim world.
JI Chief said that the statement of the Foreign Office over Bangladesh situation was pathetic, as the JI leaders in Bangladesh were with Pakistan in 1971.
“60 percent total army of the world was in Afghanistan with sophisticated weapons, but they could not be able to conquer the country and its people, he added.
Hasan said that the Pakistani government should raise its concern over dismissal of Morsi government in Egypt.
Muhammad Islam, Ameer JI Bin Qasim District, Secretary Muhammad Wasi, eminent religious scholar Maulana Attaullah and others also spoke on the occasion.
