Colombo: Sri Lanka on Tuesday made 221 runs on loss of 9 wickets till the rain interrupted the match against South Africa in Second One Day International (ODI) played at Premadasa Stadium.
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first against South Africa. Hosts after losing an early wicket of Upul Tharanga recovered well. Tilakaratne Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara’s showed resistance on the crease. Sangakkara after playing a good hand of 37 became the victim of Aaron Phangiso while Dilshan give away his wicket after scoring 43 runs. At the end of the inning skipper Dinesh Chandimal added 43 to guide Sri Lanka to a respectable total of 221 on loss of 9 wickets.
Morne Morkel finishes off with 3 wickets for South Africa.
