ISLAMABAD: The apex court of the country has asked governments to hold local bodies elections in the country till September this year.
The court while hearing the local bodies case this morning observed that the constitution had been violated by not holding local elections for last five years.
Punjab Advocate General Mustafa Ramday told the court that Punjab government was ready to hold local bodies election; however, some issues regarding delimitation of constituencies were pending the election.
