RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has ordered the authorities during today’s hearing to produce former military dictator General (retd) Pervez Musharraf on July 9 as he was absent at the hearing due to security concerns.
Main accused Pervez Musharraf and Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) special prosecutor Chaudhry Azhar Ali had been summoned by the court for today’s hearing of Benazir murder case; however, they both were not present due to inept security arrangements.
Security officials have submitted the reports of security concerns regarding both of the summoned persons.
Bail application of another accused person, Aitraaz Shah, was was presented in the court which was accepted for today’s hearing.
The court ordered Musharraf to be present in next hearing scheduled on July 9 while it asked FIA and police officials to present all the old records regarding the case.
