LAHORE: Following an uproar over rigging during polls, Chief Election Commissioner seems to be awaken after a long sleep saying electronic voting system is under development.
CEC Fakhruddin G Ebrahim says that computers are being developed having vote facility and it is expected that these would be ready for the by-elections.
“All efforts are underway to introduce electronic voting system in the country,” he said while talking with newsmen in capital city of Eastern Province of Punjab, Lahore.
Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf and other mainstream political parties have complained massive rigging in Karachi, Punjab and Sindh.
