HANGU: Newly elected member of provincial assembly, Fareed Khan of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has been killed in a deadly attack carried out in Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The incident took place in Sanghair area of Hangu district where PTI Fareed Khan’s was killed by miscreants attack on Monday evening.
According to sources, at least 6 unknown persons opened fired on the car when he was moving out of house, which resulted the death of Fareed Khan while his guard and his driver were severely injured.
Security forces have cordoned off the whole area while rescue teams shifted the dead body and injured to the nearby hospital.
Fareed Khan won the provincial assembly seat as independent candidate from PK-42 constituency of of Hangu by taking 15,983 votes but later on he joined Pakistan Imran Khan-led political party Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI).
