Lahore: Last week Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf’s Tsunami has swayed away roars of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz when Chaudhry Nisar Ahmed was declared defeated against candidate of Imran Khan’s party on Taxila seat.
Now roars of lions have stopped waves of Tsunami in Lahore as Election Commission of Pakistan has rejected PTI’s candidate Hamid Khan’s appeal to re-poll in national assembly constituency NA-125 from Lahore.
The constituency, where PML-N’s prominent leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq was victorious, has been a centre of attention since May 11 in media due to continuous sit-ins from PTI supporters from elite areas of the city.
“Earlier Hamid Khan had accused the PML-N candidates and their agents of casting bogus votes and tampering with ballot boxes and ballot papers at NA-125 constituency. However, the returning officer rejected Hamid Khan’s petition,” Express Tribune, a part of Express Media from Lackson Group, reported.
