China has acquired all the information about the latest US war technology thanks to a US military contractor who has been hacked by the people who had connections with Chinese military.
The sources said that this hacking continued for three years. During this period the US contractor company ignored all the signs of security breaches, allowing hackers to access military technology and classified documents for three years.
The name of the contractor was QinetiQ North America. It was attacked by a Shanghai-based hacker group from 2007 to 2010, Bloomberg reported on Thursday.
The company is quite know as it has made many contributions to national security including software used by US forces in Afghanistan and the Middle East but now US army fears all this technology is within the reach of China which is not a good sign for US security.
“God forbid if we get into a conflict with China,we could face a major embarrassment, where we try out all these sophisticated weapons systems and they don’t work,” said Richard Clarke, former special adviser to President George W. Bush on cyber security.
The sources claim that the said contractor received many warnings but it did not pay any heed to any of them, otherwise, the hacking could have been easily prevented.
