London: The interesting statistics revealed after a poll that majority of British women wear a full face make-up to go for extra-curricular activities like gym, marathons, races or even short time jogging.
The online poll was started by online beauty retailer Escentual.com concluded that 55 percent women said that they wear light make-up to go for gym, other 11 per cent women preferred to wear full make-up on every event.
According to the poll results, around 67 per cent women wear it before going to the shop and more than half wear it on the school run.
Nearly a fifth said that they would prefer heavy make-up for a marathon or other race and around 60 percent women preferred to wear light make-up.
Previously Opera singer Katherine Jenkins has raised eyebrows by wearing a full face of make-up for the London Marathon as well as TV presenter Fern Britton by a picture tweet after a hard workout session at the gym.
The poll organisers said that there have been several innovations with waterproof make-up recently that will breathe with your skin when you work out and will stay absolutely perfect even when you are pushing yourself hard physically, so it’s much easier to look good working out.
