ISLAMABAD: A delegation of lawyers was barred from meeting Gen. (retd) Pervez Musharraf at his residence declared as sub jail, here on Monday.
The 10-member group belonging to All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) was restrained from entering the residence, located in Chak Shehzad area in the federal capital.
At this, lawyers Ahmed Raza Kasuri, Ibrahim Satti and Qamar Afzal asked the Supreme Court of Pakistan to give them the permission, which was granted.
However, police said the lawyers didn’t have written permission to communicate in person with the former president.
The furious lawyers said they would not ‘allow anyone any institution to work against their client’.
The house of Gen (retd) Musharraf was declared sub jail by the authorities over security concerns after the former army chief was sent on 14-day judicial remand by the Islamabad High Court in the judges detention case.
