LAHORE: Cricketer and former captain of Pakistan team, Salman Butt has said he expects to resume his career with the national squad in about two years.
Speaking to the media after rejection of his appeal against the ban by the Court of Arbitration for Sports, the ex player said he has already served two years and eight months.
Though not in despair, Butt expressed unhappiness over the verdict, “I wasn’t more than 50 percent sure that the decision would come in my favor, but still there was a hope that I would be able to reduce my ban but now there is no way other than completing rest of my ban.”
The cricketers faced the verdict after it came on surface that they allegedly delivered ‘no balls’ during a match.
