Apple has decided to kick Samsung out from manufacturing of its upcoming devices iPhone 5S and iPhone 6.
Didn’t get the point of how Apple could kick Samsung out of its own products? It has happened as Apple has decreased, or reportedly ended, Samsung’s involvement in its upcoming processor A7 to be used in iPhone 5S and iPhone 6.
A report states that Apple, which gives billions of dollars to Samsung to make its processors’ chips, has ordered rival firm Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to produce A7 processor chips.
”Apple is sharing confidential data for its next A7 system-on-chip (SoC) with the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). TSMC has begun ordering its contractors to supply equipment to produce Apple’s next processors using a finer 20-nanometer level processing technology,” the PatentlyApple quoted an Asian media house as saying.
A7 processor chip, unlike traditional memory chips, can empower computing devices like iPhones and iPads. The application processor chip is also profitable in manufacturing and using in handheld devices.
Samsung is one of the major partner of Cupertino-based US tech firm with billion of dollars are given by latter one on account of processor chips manufacturing. A7 processor chips is likely to be shipped before April end.
Apple is using the A7 processor chips, reportedly, in upcoming devices including iPhone 5S, expected to be launched in June, and iPhone 6, expected to be launched in September.
