LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that he will quit politics if proved a loan defaulter.
Earlier on Thursday, a report quoting sources said that State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) had declared Shahbaz Sharif a loan defaulter along with several others in a report submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Denying all the allegations against himself on Friday, Sharif alleged four people of hatching conspiracy against the PML-N leadership. “We are not owed a rupee to any bank….All the allegations against US are baseless.”
“I always spoke about those who waived-off their loans on political bases,” he said and added that he reject the allegations of National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
He demanded the interim government to investigate the issue and said that he would take legal action if the NAB chairman did not deny the allegations.
