Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that it can be expected the caretaker prime minister will be selected with consensus, however, the matter to be sent to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) if the parliamentary committee fails to resolve the issue.
Speaking to the media here in Islamabad on Friday, Nisar said that all the four names would be sent to the ECP in evening if the committee failed to select any of the four people for the caretaker PM.
He said that the PML-N had taken every political party except JUI-F into confidence over the names for the committee. “The names which we have given for the committee has no association with the PML-N,” he added.
He said that he took any decision according to the Constitution.
Nisar alleged the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) of giving its own names and making opposition with its ally in Sindh.
