Centurion: Pakistan and South Africa will face each other in the second one day international match on Friday at Centurion cricket stadium, with Proteas leading the series 1-0.
Pakistan was defeated by a huge margin of 125 runs in the first ODI. The green shirts were outclassed in all fields of the cricket including batting, bowling and fielding.
Pakistani bowlers failed to stop the flow of runs from the South African batsmen, helping them to score 315 for the loss of four wickets.
Except Misbahul Haq and Shahid Afridi, none of the Pakistani batsmen was able to enter into 30’s.
After the failure, the Pakistani team management held a brainstorming session for the senior players, where all of them were asked to give suggestions for the betterment of the team.
The senior players were also asked to boost up the morale of other players after the team had failed to perform on the tour and was only able win a single T20.
Pakistan captain Misbahul Haq has hinted that the team would play the match with three fast bowlers, inducting one bowler which could possibly be Mohammad Irfan or Wahab Riaz.
The captain also said that some changes might also take place in the team, giving chances to those youngsters who had given performances in the domestic circuit of the country.
The Pakistani players are confident that they would stage a comeback in the series with a win in the second T20.
On the other hand, South Africa, which is considered one of the dangerous teams of the ODI, is targeting a win in the second match to further pressurize the hosts.
The batting line of the Proteas is strengthened with the presence of Hashim Amla, Greame Smith, AB de Villiers and Colin Ingram while the bowline lineup will be boosted with the return of Dayle Steyn, who took 20 wickets against Pakistan in the three test matches.
