Karachi: Pakistan’s federal government has decided to provide the affectees of Jeseph Colony with Rs500,000 as compensation.
According to a report, the country’s President Asif Ali Zardari, who currently present in Karachi, telephoned Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf. The report added that the telephonic conversation both the top leaders had agreed to pay Rs500,000 to each family whose home was burned by mob on Saturday.
The president has also summoned Punjab Governor Makhdoom Ahmed Mehomood to Karachi.
Earlier, the governor sent the initial report of the Joseph Colony incident to the president.
