Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Faisal Sabzwari is likely to be appointed as Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly, as consultation have been completed in the assembly between Pakistan Muslim League-Functional and MQM over the post.
According to sources, a meeting of the MQM’s parliamentary committee of the assembly is underway at the chambers of the assembly under the chairmanship of Syed Sardar Ahmed and soon the decision would be made public.
Meanwhile, the MQM would also submit request for the opposition benches in the assembly today.
It is to be mentioned here that MQM parted its ways with the current coalition government of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Federal and Sindh assembly over withdrawal of cases against Lyari gang war criminals.
