Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Wednesday agreed to devise a joint strategy against their opponents in the next elections.
The decision was made during a high level meeting in Prime Minister House, Islamabad. The meeting, which was chaired by Raja Pervez Ashraf, agreed to form a joint electoral strategy in the next elections.
According to sources, the meeting also discussed the situation created in Balochistan after the imposition of governor rule by the prime minister.
“The decision on lifting the governor rule is almost finalized but the meeting decided to hold another gathering in order to reach conclusion over the issue,” they said.
The next meeting will be held on Friday at the residence of PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
