Islamabad: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will stage a sit-in outside the parliament house today Monday for empowerment of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Maula Bux Chandio heavily criticized the sit-in and termed it a conspiracy against democracy.
According to reports, PML-N leaders Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan and Raja Zafar-ul-Haq would lead the sit-in. Â Jammat-i-Islami, Awami Tehrik Sindh, Muslim League AJK and were expected to join the sit-in protest.
Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Chaudhry Nisar had directed leaders and workers to participate in the protest sit-in.
The MNAs from Rawalpindi and Islamabad including Hanif Abbasi, Shakeel Awan, Malik Ibrar and Anjum Aqeel Khan have been given special task by the PML-N leadership to bring more and more workers with them in sit-in.
Meanwhile the Jamiat Ulema e Islam-Fazlur Rehman (JUI-F) had already decided not to take part in sit-in of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) outside Parliament House.
JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed his displeasure said that the decision was taken because PML-N didn’t support his party against the imposition of Governor’s rule in Balochistan.
