New York: Pakistan’s former president Pervez Musharraf admitted that the controversial National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) was his mistake.
However, he claimed no female students or girls were killed in the Lal Masjid tragedy.
Musharraf, founder of All Pakistan Muslim League, was talking to media on the sideline of his party meeting in New York.
He insisted he never said that he got Nawab Akbar Bugti murdered or was involved in any murder. But he said the state has to take action when people talk of separation.
Musharraf said that back home he would neither seek mercy from anyone nor would beg for pardon. But he again did not give any specific date for his return to Pakistan.
He said he did not fear any possible arrest over his return to the country and his party would contest the upcoming general election.
