Karachi: Different political parties continued their sit-in on second day in front of the Election Commission office in Karachi, demanding verification of voter lists under army supervision.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Jamiat Ulema-e-Isam (JUI), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) started the protest yesterday.
Leaders of the protesting parties said that in accordance with Supreme Court’s order, the Election should verify voter lists under army supervision and form new electoral constituencies in the city.
They said they would continue to protest until their demands were fulfilled.
