London: Rumors say Nikon will introduce mirror less cameras at the upcoming CES 2013 on January 8-11.
The J3 seems to be an upgrade version of the Nikon J2 with 14MP sensor (J2 is 10MP) and the S1 will be the company’s first mirrorless camera.
Just over four months since Nikon introduced J2, the release of J3 is quite unusual move.
A report quoting sources said that J3 would be upgraded slightly from J2 and there will be no major changes in terms of features and design breakthroughs.
Meanwhile, the S1 is expected targeting ordinary consumers, 10MP sensor with price “very cheap” and features the “very basic.”
The S1 should be placed bellow the J product line. The new Nikon 1 camera lines will be S – J – V.
I also expect that Nikon will announce the D5200 for the US market at the CES show.
