Islamabad: Malik Riaz, a property tycoon, has gifted a car to Muhammad Asif who recently won World Snooker Champion title for Pakistan and said that he would request Behria Town to give job the cueist.
Asif beat Britain’s Gary Wilson 10-8 to clinch the title in Bulgaria to become the third Pakistani to play IBSF World Snooker Championship final after Mohammad Yousaf (in 1994) and Saleh Muhammad (in 2003).
He is the second Pakistani cueist who won the world championship.
Riaz handed the key of the vehicle to Asif in Islamabad on Friday and said that he would continue to support people like Asif in the country.
Asif said that it was difficult to focus on game in current situation of the country, adding that he would try to continue his better performance to bring fame to the country.
