Lahore: The Forensic report revealing the reasons behind death of score of people by Tyno syrup came across on Monday in the provincial capital of Punjab.
Samples taken from stomachs of the victims were sent to laboratory which revealed presence of hazardous drugs including alcohol, opium, marijuana, bhang, and sleeping pills, said Punjab Health Department spokesman.
“Whether these substances were part of the syrup or the users made this deadly recipe themselves, is subject to in-depth investigation”, the spokesman added.
Meanwhile, local court extended an interim bail of syrup factory’s owner for four days as he appealed for clearance on behalf of initial investigation report which stated that Tyno syrup was not the main cause of death.
