Sukkur: Pakistan’s Excise Department on Thursday foiled a bid to smuggle huge cache of ammunitions from Peshawar to Karachi and arrested two culprits near Ghotki, a district of Pakistan’s Sindh province.
According to sources, the excise police on Thursday conducted a raid on National Highway near Sindh-Punjab border and seized a truck containing huge amount of explosives, detonators and other ammunition.
According to initial investigation, the two culprits arrested from the truck belonged to South Waziristan and they were shifting the explosives to someone in Karachi.
The police shifted the culprits to an undisclosed location for further investigation while the bomb disposal squad was summoned at the spot.
