Islamabad: Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed grave concerns over the loss of innocent human lives, terming the seven-day deadly siege as ‘an attack on humanity’.
Erdogan was speaking to the media on the sidelines of the D8 Conference to be held in Islamabad.
He called for ‘ceasefire in Gaza at every cost to prevent human losses there’. He hailed the role of Egypt in de-escalating the effects of violence.
The Turkish PM on the occasion clarified that that accords signed with Nato are for their own security and not for anything else.
Earlier, Erdogan and Iranian President Ahmedinejad arrived at the presidency in Islamabad to attend the D8 Conference. President Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Zardari and Qamar Zaman Kaira to felicitate the dignitaries.
