Dhaka: Following an excuse by Bangladesh Prime Minister to attend the D8 Conference in Pakistan, the participation of country’s Foreign Minister is also not certain and it is expected that he will also refuse to attend the summit.
According to Foreign Ministry officials, the participation of Foreign Minister Dipu Moni in the summit is doubtful.
Foreign Secretary Mohamed Mijarul Quayes might take his place to represent Bangladesh in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital.
The D8 Conference is scheduled to be held on Nov 22 in Islamabad.
Earlier, Malaysian prime minister had also excused himself from attending the conference.
