Islamabad: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Pakistan Telecommunications Company (PTCL) participated in Afaq Educational Expo-2012 in Quetta to extend support for education in Baluchistan and create awareness about latest Information and Communications Technologies.
The three day long expo aimed to provide the most effective and efficient educational & learning environment to the youth of Baluchistan. The expo provided a platform for educational institutions and teachers to share their expertise with students. Various companies also showcased their products and services.
PTCL sees it as its corporate responsibility to support and participate in such events to harness the creative potential of the youth. Students, teachers and public visited PTCL stall where they experienced the latest offerings of PTCL through live demonstrations by highly trained PTCL staff at the occasion.
The exhibition provided a tremendous opportunity to the youth to showcase their skills and talents through Science Exhibition, Science Quiz, Art Competition, Games and Mathematics Quiz.
The expo also held Book Fair, Encyclopedia, Principal Acknowledgement Award, Best Teacher Award and various Talent Awards.
Over 300 schools from all across Quetta participated in the expo, making it one of the largest exhibitions held in Baluchistan. PTCL latest 3G EVO Wingle and other wireless products remained one of the highlights of the exhibition and generated tremendous interest.
