Colombo: Pakistan spin attack on Friday restricted South Africa to set 134 runs target in a super eight match of ICC World T20 here in Colombo.
South Africa, who opted to bat first after winning to toss, finish with 133 for 6.
The proteas were simply unable to score off Pakistan’s spinners and the innings stagnated before AB de Villiers and Duminy gave it some direction.
Duminy played a quick 48 runs inning on 38 balls while de Villiers made 25 runs.
Yasir Arafat and the skipper Mohammad Hafiz took two wickets each while Umer Gul and Saeed Ajmal bagged one wicket each.
