Karachi: Unknown motorcyclists hurled hand grenade in Nazimabad area of Karachi on Saturday,killing a child and injuring at least 10 people including 2 children, police said.
Police said that the incident took place in Bara Board area of Nazimabad. Earlier, media reports said the explosion was of a gas cylinder.
Police and Rangers rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. Rescue workers shifted the injured to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where two of the wounded men are in critical condition.
Police said that the blast was hurled at a shop. Motive behind the attack has to be ascertained so far.
