Dubai: After a great run in series against Australia and getting first spot in One Day International (ODI) ranking, Pakistan’s off spinner Saeed Ajmal on Thursday rose to the top position in T20 bowler ranking.
The 34-year-old, who was left off the shortlist for the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Player of the Year, is at the top position of ICC men’s T20 ranking with 782 points while England’s Graeme Swann is at second position with 740 points.
In Test ranking, Saeed Ajmal is at third position with 882 points while in ODI he is on first position with 759 points.
During the period under consideration for the award (August 4 2011 to August 6 2012), Ajmal took 120 wickets in Tests, one-day internationals and Twenty20 internationals, including 24 wickets in three tests against England in January and February.
