London: With only two athletes of Pakistan remained in London 2012, sprinter Liaquat Ali will participate in 100 meter race today.
Earlier, coach Bushra Pervin revealed that both remaining athletes are suffering from injuries. Liaquat Ali, 28 year old, suffered cramp injury and Rabia Ashiq, 20 years old, suffered backache few days before; however both of the athletes are completely fit for London Olympics challenges.
Liaquat Ali has to take part in 100m Heats while Rabia Ashiq, who is getting flare of publicity through telecom ads in Pakistan, has to participate in 800m race on August 8.
According to coach, both athletes had minor injuries while practicing due to Mondo track, situated in London.
Coach added “Cold winds and weather change have affected the performance of our athletes.”
