Aurora, Colorado: President Obama lands in Colorado to meet with families of the victims of Friday’s shooting.

President Barack Obama headed to Aurora, Colorado, on Sunday to visit families whose loved ones were killed in shooting at a cinema showing the new Batman movie.
The families mourned their dead over the incident in which 12 people were shot dead and 58 others left badly injured.
Special prayers were offered in Aurora for those who died in the town of 325,000, which is not far from the scene of the 1999 Columbine High School student massacre, Reuters reported.
“Our culture needs to change,” Father Mauricio Bermudez told a packed mass at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Aurora.
“What kind of people are we becoming? Today, we must change. Today is the day.”
“We’re still reeling,” Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan said at a memorial late on Saturday for one young shooting victim.
A vigil was scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Sunday in front of Aurora City Hall organized by civic community and religious leaders.
Obama’s trip comes as investigators are deepening a probe into Holmes. He was arrested at the multiplex immediately after the shootings and local and federal authorities disarmed explosives in his booby-trapped apartment on Saturday.
Earlier A Colorado church recalled Gordon Cowden, who died in this week’s shooting, and prayed for James Holmes.
Police also revealed that suspect planned attack for months.
It is to mentioned here that Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper said on Sunday the Aurora shooter is a “terrorist.”
“I think the political will come, but at this point, you know, in a funny way this guy is a terrorist, right,” Hickenlooper said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “He wasn’t a terrorist in the sense of politics, but for whatever twisted reasons that we can barely even imagine, he wanted to create terror, he wanted to put fear in people’s lives.”
