Islamabad: Former director health, Rasheed Jumma in his testimony given to Anti Narcotics Forces in Ephedrine case confessed that he granted the quota for Ephedrine on pressure from Ali Musa Gilani, Makhdoom Shahbuddin and Khushnood Lashari.
In the testimony, whose copy has been obtained by Geo News, Rasheed Jumma said that a company from Islamabad was granted the quota of 2500 kilograms on Makhdoom Shahabuddin’s directives.
While the company in Multan was given the quota of 6000 kilograms on the pressure from Alil Musa Gilani and Khushnood Lashari, the four-page confession said.
The testimony further said that Tauqeer Ali Khan had Rasheed Jumma speak on the phone to Ali Musa Gilani who introduced himself as the son of the then prime minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani, and also mentioned the operation of his grand mother for reference.
“I had performed the operation when Ali Musa Gilani was small, so I believed that the man on the phone was him,” he said in the testimony.
